Our Mission

As important as investing and developing in our wildlife and conservation model, we at Simbiti Safaris also strongly believe in building up the people in our community. Soon after establishing our concession we partnered with a great group of individuals who shared our vision in bringing meaningful developement and upliftment to the rural communities of the Mateke Hills. The ‘Sustainable Development Africa’ (Verein Nachaltige Entwicklung In Afrika) was born here in Zimbabwe and registered in Germany as a non profit organisation. The organisation has had tremendous momentum and already completed several community projects since its establishment in 2023. Completed projects include drilling wells and solar pump installation, renovating and completing two shool block and full scholarships for 16 students all at the Gezani Secondary School. Several other projects are also nearing completion. Simbiti Safaris provides logistics, community liason and full oversight of all projects sponsored by the organisation.

We have the greatest appreciation for all the sponsors who have helped make such meaningful change to better the lives of the people around the Mateke Hills.

Simbitisafaris Anti Poaching unit

Our Team

After the establishng of our company, we immediately began recruiting and building a team of men whom now conduct one of the most crucial roles in the entire operation - the anti poaching unit. These protectors of the wildlife risk body and limb everyday to patrol our wild areas.

Their daily mission involves tracking and aprehending poachers who are often armed and fight back, removing dangerous traps and snares from the bush that are set to catch wild animals and monitoring game numbers and movement.

Support the cause

Simbiti Anti Poaching team currently has 15 rangers who are permanently employed by the company in the continued fight against poachers. Every safari booked enables us to keep their boots on the ground and little by little restore the wild populations to their best possible state. We especially thank those clients who have contributed resources over and above their safari to help strengthen our team. It truly is hunters who care more about the wildlife than anybody else.
